The Center for Humanistic Change is holding a March training for the Student Assistance Program. This three-day workshop is based on the Standards and Competancies issued by the Dept. of Education. Cyberbullying will be among the topics covered during the sessions. Completion of the workshop and activities, including a post-training assignment, results in SAP certification and receipt of thirty "Act 48" hours. To Register go to the "Event Calendar".

CHC held a 3 day certification training to prepare school and agency staff members to serve on Student Assistance Teams. Participants learned about ATOD, substance abuse, mental health issues, suicide and resiliency. The importance of parental involvement in the SAP process had special emphasis in this training, which was designed according to the revised standards and competencies issued by the PA Dept. of Education. The sessions, Thursday Nov. 17th, and Monday & Tuesday Dec. 5th & 6th., were held from 7:30am to 3:30pm at the Center for Humanistic Change, 2200 Avenue A, Bethlehem, PA.
Upon completion of all competency-based activities, including post training assignments, SAP certifications and 30 hours of ACT 48 credits will be given.
