Building Communication and Coping Skills
This program is targeted towards students of all ages, who want to learn how to better communicate and cope, during these difficult times. Students will learn how to effectively communicate in order to express themselves in a respectful manner and to not escalate a conflict. The coping skills in this program are practical, mindfulness-based skills that students can utilize on their own throughout the day. During times of stress, youth are more likely to turn to drugs and alcohol to cope, but if we give them the tools to cope in a healthy manner, they will instead turn to their coping skills and the supportive adults in their lives.
