CHC is certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Education as a Commonwealth Approved Trainer for the Student Assistance Program. The training, held as a three-day workshop, is based on the Standards and Competancies issued by the Dept. of Education in 2003. Completion of the workshop and activities, including a post-training assignment, results in SAP certification and receipt of thirty "Act 48" hours.

Elementary Student Assistance Program services are mandated by the Commonwealth. CHC provides training for elementary school personnel and agency staff who work with young children. Using the most current Pennsylvania DOE standards and competencies, our hands-on and interactive training will teach participants to identify barriers to learning and effective ways to help young students overcome them. Program participants who attend all session and complete all assignments will receive "Act 48" hours.
SAP Team Maintenance
Rejuvenate, re-energize, or revitalize your SAP team with a workshop tailor-made for your group. Half-day or full workday trainings (held on your site, or CHC's) include creative, interactive activities on themes such as goal setting, visioning, or team building.
